"Welcome to the Home of the Brave"
An American city awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers falling from the sky. The United States appears to have been invaded and their city the initial target. Soon the civilians are captured and the city is occupied by enemy forces. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots takes refuge in the surrounding forests, where they reorganize into a guerrilla group. Inspired by their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, with the goal of protecting each other, liberating their city and taking back their freedom.

a fairly plausible story with some implausible things, such as that that group of young people with the help of that Iraq veteran can escape within a few days to become better soldiers (or rebels) than the North Koreans, who can use their equipment see, did not come here unprepared, notwithstanding a good looking away film, 3*

In this superfluous remake of a film we should forget, at least someone has thought of making the main character a bit older and giving it a military background. That at least improves the credibility of something, even if this remains empty-headed entertained. This time, North Korea is the culprit (initially it was China, but it was overturned at the last minute for fear of diplomatic repercussions) and we are spared the most cringe-inducing propagandistic moments from the original Red Dawn. So what remains is a lot of pop-pop-poof, explosions and on the other hand violent, nihilistic bloodshed.
