Six separate stories set in Tokyo are woven into one when the characters cross paths. Two friends spend a quiet evening in their apartment, a French chansonnier loses his girlfriend and seeks refuge with a prostitute, a group of girls rob a night shop, two police officers take a street group for nuisance, a group of office workers kidnap a girl to abuse her and a man is confronted by his wife and pregnant girlfriend during his mother's funeral.
