Un Bonheur N'arrive Jamais Seul plot

Sacha loves his friends, his piano and parties. He spends his evenings in a jazz club where he seduces beautiful women. He is happy and lives in complete freedom; no alarm clock, no wedding ring and no taxes. Charlotte has three children, two ex-husbands and a good career. She has no place for romance in her life. They are polar opposites and have nothing in common, yet they are destined for each other...

Another average French feel-good snack. No surprises, but quite funny. Sophie Marceau is just not very sympathetic.

Good feeling comedy that is somewhat reminiscent of the screwball comedies from the heyday of the major Hollywood studios in terms of atmosphere and structure. Not a thigh-slapping film, but a pleasant film that glides by smoothly, especially thanks to the endearing protagonists. Nice title by the way.

A romantic comedy in which two people meet, like each other, fall in love and stay together despite the many circumstances in both their lives that do not coincide pleasantly. The film tells of those circumstances and throws the story into exaggeration that sometimes produces genuinely comic scenes.

A simple story that is not very deep. All events are dressed in lightness. The color scheme is bright. The music uplifting. The weather not unpleasant. The characters in the film are fairly flat and essentially understanding and warm-hearted. In the environment of the Parisian upper class in which the film is set, disappointments and concerns are manageable and relatively easy to resolve. The setting is not oppressive and not realistic. It's an excellent setting for an easy-to-consume romantic comedy.

With Sophie Marceau. A beautiful woman, great company and of course just a good actress with an enormous track record. She plays the role of the female half of the relationship with great flair and zest for life. The moments that I found funny and that made me laugh heartily were all moments that involved her. The other characters made less of an impression.

Un Bonheur N' arrive Jamais Seul is a pleasantly watchable film that you can simply pass by with a minimal display of brain activity and then quickly forget about it.
