100 Bloody Acres plot

Too much comedy and too little horror......otherwise a nice looking away.

Don't take the film too seriously....acting is not boring...here and there are some nice scenes, but unfortunately too little for a sufficient.

Reg Morgan [Damon Herriman], the co-owner of a fertilizer store that uses human remains as its main ingredient, has just loaded up a fresh corpse when he's tempted to give a ride to Sophie [Anna McGahan], James [Oliver Ackland] and Wes [Jamie Christian], who broke down on the way to a music festival. Since James and Wes are forced to take a seat in the cargo hold, it is only a matter of time before they discover that the stench there is not only due to the manure. And from that moment on, the three youngsters from the city are no longer sure of their lives.

McGahan is excellent as the flirtatious Sophie, there is a pleasant dose of black humor and the finale contains enough bloodshed to please the splatter fans. But it is a pity that the first half is a bit long - winded .

Black humor and blood. They are the defining ingredients for this Australian horror comedy from the brothers Colin and Cameron Cairnes. A fun debut film from the duo.

The decor has something of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre“. The expectations of the viewer about the course of the film are in principle also in that direction. However, behind the facade of a dilapidated farm, apart from bloody things, a lot of comic things happen. interspersed with a fine barrage of humorous dialogues soften the sight of flying body parts and the devastating effect of a shredder.

The characters turned out well. The two brothers who produce fertilizer with humanoid extracts in their dilapidated farm are very different from each other. One is a long-suffering killer. The other a barbaric psychopath. A chaotic duel ensues over the heads of three captive teenagers. The scenes are not always equally successful on the comedic level, but funny enough across the board. The teenagers are less prominent and act more as sidekicks. Their presence makes for some hilarious scenes and thus the purpose of their effort has been achieved.

100 Bloody Acres is low-budget with a lot of funny melancholy and an unexpectedly nice (horror) work.
