Hortense Laborie (Catherine Frot) is a well-known chef who works and lives in the Périgord region, located in the Dordogne. Much to her surprise, she is appointed by the French president to lead the kitchen at the Élysée Palace, the president's official residence. Despite the jealousy of the fellow chefs, Hortense manages to keep herself standing and with her authentic cooking skills she manages to seduce the president...
