Possessing Piper Rose plot

Joanna (Rebecca Romijn) is having a hard time. Her beloved father has recently passed away and her Alzheimer's mother is slowly languishing in a home. In addition, she and her husband Ben have been making frantic efforts to adopt a child for a long time, but it is as if they hit a wall at the authorities. Then adoption mediator Lydia appears on the scene. She sympathizes with the couple and somehow manages to avoid the bureaucracy. Joanna and Ben are assigned Piper, a four-year-old girl. Her natural mother is in prison and the child needs a real family. But soon strange things start happening...
