"Sam Baum is in love with his girlfriend who might still be in love with someone else."

Before dating Sammy (Kristen Ruhlin), Sam (Josh Gad) hasn't had much luck in love. Afraid of losing her to John, Sammy's ex, Sam offers her the lead role in his new movie. But the next night, one of Hollywood's most in-demand actresses, the popular Kim Powers (Hillary Duff), shows an interest in playing the part. Now, however, Sam is faced with a major dilemma.
