Sen'ya Ichiya Monogatari plot
Aldin, aka Aladdin is a simple itinerant water salesman. He falls in love with Miriam, a beautiful slave girl whom he sees for sale at an auction in the market. Miriam is bought by Havahslakum, the spoiled son of the chief of police. When a sandstorm comes up, Aldin takes advantage of the situation and frees Miriam. They hide in a seemingly empty house where they make love. However, they are secretly watched by the owner Suleiman who betrays them. When Havahslakum and his guards break into the house, Suleiman is killed. Aldin is blamed for this and during his imprisonment Miriam gives birth to a child. She dies while giving birth and when he is released, Aldin sets out to take revenge.
