Against the Tide plot

At the time of the Holocaust, the young activist Peter Bergson tried to draw attention to the plight of the Jews in Europe in the United States. He tried to convince Washington and the established Jewish organizations that the situation needed to be addressed. But as he gains support from key non-Jewish politicians and film people, Jewish leaders feel increasingly threatened and even resentful.
