The Hook plot
"This is a story of men in war not men at war."
During the Korean War, three American soldiers are on a fishing boat off neutral Finland. They are the experienced and intrepid Sergeant PJ Briscoe and the inexperienced soldiers OA Dennison and VR Hackett. They are ordered to kill North Korean prisoner of war Kim 'The Hook', who is imprisoned on board. Sailing outside of Korea's territorial waters and on board a ship belonging to a neutral country, the soldiers have a heated argument about whether to kill 'The Hook'. Then the ship is attacked by a North Korean bomber.
