"The Basement Tapes of Sigrídur Níelsdóttir"
Documentary about Sigrídur Níelsdóttir, the 'grand old lady' of Icelandic music. Her first album was released in 2001, when she was already 71, and she became a cult phenomenon. She had been making music all her life, but had never recorded it. When she finally started doing that, on a tape recorder in her kitchen, playing a keyboard and all kinds of household appliances making weird noises, she couldn't stop. Since then she has recorded over 600 self-made songs and released 59 (!) albums.
