The once famous artist Lars Olafssen has sunk deep. Unable to paint without inspiration, he accepts a course at a small art school in Podunk Koda Lake, Canada with his guardian angel Eddie. As their unlikely friendship develops, Lars discovers a dark and violent secret about Eddie's nocturnal impulses and must choose between his friend and his love of art.
