The Solitaire Man plot
Oliver Lane, aka 'The Solitaire Man', is a renowned jewel thief who is willing to stop and marry his criminal assistant and true love Helen Hemming. Their plans fall through, however, as Robert Bascom, another member of their gang, makes off with a stolen necklace. Helen doesn't want to get married until this necklace is back. Oliver's attempts to recover the necklace put the entire gang under suspicion for the theft and the murder of a Scotland Yard inspector.
