Bitter Seeds plot

In India, a farmer commits suicide every 30 minutes. The reason: despair. In a village at the center of the suicide epidemic, we see a farming family fighting to keep their land, while a teenage girl takes her first steps to become a journalist and tell the world about this crisis. 'Bitter Seeds' questions the (human) cost of genetically modified agriculture and the future of the global agricultural sector.
