Middle of Nowhere plot
"love can lead us where we least expect"
Ruby drops out of college to focus one hundred percent on her husband Derek. Derek has been sentenced to eight years in a California prison. Driven by hope, love and loyalty, Ruby tries to guide Derek through his captivity in a violent environment. During that time, Ruby has to deal with feelings of sadness, guilt, shame and having to live separately from each other.
