Sinners' Disease plot

A documentary about Sasha Volgina, a 31-year-old Russian who is HIV positive and pregnant. The IADS epidemic in Russia is the fastest growing in the world. More than one million Russians are HIV positive, most of them under the age of 35. There are now not enough antiretroviral drugs available, the government does not provide information and drug users who contract HIV are criminalized. Sasha leads a group of activists who oppose this situation. Filmmaker Jan Jaap Kuiper follows her in her daily struggle for existence.
