Just watched this on a German DVD, in Italian with somewhat stuttering English subtitles, after having it sealed and ready on the pile of films to be watched for years.

After watching some lesser Spaghetti Westerns lately, this one was definitely worth it!

Martin, Roland and Elam all three in the most important roles in a film, that can hardly go wrong. Maybe none of them real A-list leading actors, not even for this specific genre, but nevertheless all with enough charisma to carry this film and make it stand out from the average rubbish.

Nice revenge film, in which we see the first flashback right at the beginning, which belongs in a film -including the film score- in a film like Bilitis, rather than in a Spaghetti Western.
Furthermore, a nice, smooth story, with a nice, original finale, including a kind of Russian roulette, which was seen earlier in the film, so that you as a viewer know what is coming, but will it turn out well for the hero of the story this time? The attentive viewer has his suspicions, given a certain bullet that Roland received earlier in the story...

Martin is good in the lead role, as Elam is delightfully mean and cunning as the leader of the bandits.
Roland does his thing in his typical role as an older, stylish gunman for hire.
Rosalba Neris' presence is very brief and hardly worth mentioning, but how beautiful she was again and what truly magnificent, penetrating eyes she has!

Di Massi's score is good and very atmospheric, although the title song at the beginning is typically sung in exaggerated English, as we are used to with this kind of films.

Definitely worth watching!

A solid seven, or 3.5 stars.
