Dem Himmel Ganz Nah plot

Dumitru Stanciu is one of the last European mountain herders. Like his ancestors thousands of years ago, he moves winter and summer with his sheep to the vast fields of the Transylvanian Carpathians, a mountain range that reaches almost to the sky. He lives in the mythical mountains, between bears and wolves, in the sun, the wind, snow and ice. And he always takes care of his animals. But when he hangs his sheepskin on the coat rack, a part of the old European lifestyle will inevitably die. Or will his son, Radu, become the new shepherd of the flock?
