I Am plot
'I Am' consists of four short films, in which the protagonists share one common dream: that of being allowed to decide their own lives. We follow the single Afia during her search for a sperm donor. Megha visits her hometown of Kashmir, the region she was forced to leave during her childhood. Abhimanyu was abused by his stepfather during his childhood and struggles with the traumatic consequences of this as an adult. The final part is about the way in which Indian criminal law was abused in the past to extort homosexuals.
