A Bird of the Air plot

Lyman is a loner who often works night shifts. An orphan because his parents died in a car accident when he was four years old. He only knows his last name and he can guess his exact year of birth. Suddenly a green parrot flies into his trailer and starts talking: “Shut up! I am an eagle”. Lyman becomes obsessed with the search for its owner, which will eventually lead him to Fiona. She has had a crush on Lyman for a while and decides to help him in his quest, whether he likes it or not. Together they search for the parrot's owner and along the way Fiona unravels the mysteries surrounding Lyman's past. But when she goes with him on one of his night shifts, she witnesses a reality that turns out to be more intense than the romantic version she actually envisioned for him….
