Encore plot
Film adaptation of three short stories by W. Somerset Maugham. The first is titled 'The Ant and the Grasshopper' and is about the black sheep of the family, who invents all kinds of things to outdo his brother financially. The second, 'Winter Cruise', is about an insufferable passenger who pushes the crew of a cruise ship to their limits and ruins the journey for fellow passengers. And the last one, 'Gigolo and Gigolette', concerns a circus acrobat who has a nervous breakdown at the fatal moment during her song.
