A Dangerous Place to Meet My Family plot
Dean Whitney, 21, is the son of a British father and a Yemeni mother. Yemen is known as one of the most dangerous countries in the world for its terror and atrocities against humanity. He has always dreamed of traveling to Yemen, the country where half of his family lives. In addition, questions of identity surrounding his Muslim religion and Yemeni background play a major role. A five-week search follows through the country that is a frontline in the war against al-Qaeda. After a joyful reunion with his family, Dean is confronted with shocking and degrading stories. He also risks his own life when he visits the capital Sana'a as a westerner. His dream trip seems to be turning into a nightmare.
