Lidice plot
"The true story of the Lidice massacre"
The burning of the village of Lidice by Nazi Germany is the only official act of genocide during the war. The film tells three interconnected stories, all related to the burning and destruction of Lidice in 1942. The first is about an unhappy family in which the father accidentally kills his son during a heated argument and is sentenced to prison. The second story concerns a letter that is the cause of the massacre. The third story is about fear, personal responsibility and whether survival is a victory when you have to give up your dignity and honor.
