"Pride, envy, vanity… How far would you go for recognition?"
This is the story of a fierce rivalry between a father and a son. They are both professors of Talmud at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The son is very fond of the accolades of the establishment, while his father is a stubborn purist who deeply dislikes everything the establishment stands for. However, behind this contempt lies a desperate urge for some kind of recognition. The Israeli Prize, the most prestigious national prize, is the jewel that leads the two to a final and bitter confrontation.
