Dolfje Weerwolfje plot

When sweet-natured Dolfie suddenly changes into a white fluffy werewolf on the night of his seventh birthday, he doesn't know what hit him. Dolfje struggles with herself because the uninhibited wolf is capable of very different things at night than the shy boy during the day. Will he be able to accept himself as he is? Based on the book series of the same name by Paul van Loon.

Every now and then I'm really in the mood for a movie like this. After studying for hours and not feeling like a 'heavy' movie, or on a rainy Sunday. Or just because you can. And well, Kim van Kooten eh, that's what I do it for anyway! (*Thinks of kos immediately when she sees Kim, hihi.*)

The beginning also reminded me of Harry Potter, haha! Well, better well done....

What a touching boy Dolfje is. ''Congratulations Dolfje, yes thank you, you too Dolfje!'' But Dolfje the werewolf.. :') Jesus, what did that look like, haha. Also understand that they can't make a horrible beast out of it, but this looked like an oversized Furby. (Do you remember them, they were fun!).

My class (group 3) are also all 6 to 7 year olds, so there were many recognizable situations. The classroom scenes, the performance for the parents, etc. Always very nice to see if you are also working in education. Especially the 'courtship' part was cute.

Furthermore, it is a typical children's film, with an occasional nod to adults. ("It only happens once a month! Gee, just like with women.") Towards the end it took just a little too long for me. But otherwise, oh, pretty cute. Especially for the target group very nice, for 'big people' sometimes boring.

Successful youth film that will certainly convince the target group. But the better films of this kind also succeed in scoring outside the target group and Dolfje Werewolfje will certainly succeed at times.

I found it especially attractive. The wintry Christmas atmosphere comes out well and today is a great day at the time of the year to watch this. I thought it was a well-developed story with decent acting. Children often want to fall through the basket in these kinds of films, but that is not so bad here.

Anyway, the kids really enjoyed it and I thought it was quite enjoyable too. Especially that father is very nice with his tendency to wearwomen's clothes. Certainly not bad and highly recommended for the little ones.

Dolfje [Ole Kroes] was abandoned as a baby as a foundling and is celebrating his 7th birthday with his parents [Remko Vrijdag, Kim van Kooten] and his brother Timmie [Maas Bronkhuyzen] who have fully accepted him into their family. But as soon as the full moon appears, Dolfje turns into a werewolf for the first time and devours one of Mrs. Krijtes' chickens [Trudy Labij]. Partly because of this, Dolfje initially finds it terrible that he is 'different', but gradually he notices that there are also advantages to being a werewolf. Among other things with regard to his teasing spirit Nico [Nick Geest] and classmate Noura [Lupa Ranti], whom Dolfje has had a crush on for a long time. Brave film adaptation of Paul van Loon's beloved children's book with all the standard ingredients of a BosBros film. This is probably no problem for children, but for adult viewers it is all a bit tame and predictable. Huub van der Lubbe sings the not bad song “Ik Ben Ik”.
