Bennie Stout plot
Netherlands, 1930s. Benjamin Stout often lives up to his name. Together with his soapbox, a self-made pedal car, he regularly throws things upside down. At the top of his wish list for Sinterklaas is the new shiny pedal car he saw in the window of the toy store. But it's a time of crisis and Bennie's father decides to stay in Spain for the time being to earn extra money. Bennie now only has one wish: Sinterklaas must be able to ensure that his father comes home quickly so that they can celebrate Christmas with the whole family. Soon Bennie finds out that it's not that easy. He decides to pick up his father himself. He writes his name with the 'naughty children' in The Big Book of Sinterklaas. Because as a 'naughty boy' he has to go to Spain in the bag...
