Paolo Ventura, de Verdwijnende Man plot

Italian artist Paolo Ventura started out as a fashion photographer, but stopped because he had no real interest in fashion. He started making autonomous work, inspired by the images he saw before his grandmother told him about the Second World War. He conquered the art world with the photo series War Souvenir and Winter Stories. The documentary shows him at work in his shed, on top of a deserted mountain. There he creates his own world in which he feels at home. Ventura talks about his career and how he works.
