"Confessions Of A Murderer"
East German documentary makers Heynowski and Scheumann pose as West German journalists and visit Siegfried "Kongo" Müller, the infamous Nazi and now mercenary soldier. They pump him full of booze and get him to talk. In the 1960s, Müller fought in the Congolese civil war, and the more Pernod he takes in, the more fascinating the interview becomes. He argues that blacks are no better than beasts and shares his dream of joining the US military to fight communism in Vietnam and around the world. He displays his military paraphernalia, including the Iron Cross he was awarded in Germany in 1945, and then denies all his previous statements about civil killings, the ethics of war, and the defense of Western liberal values.
