Fuga per la Libertà - L'Aviatore plot
Genoa, 1943. Teglio Massimo is a welcome guest in circles of the Italian elite. The young pilot is personally friends with Italo Balbo, the fascist Minister of Aviation under Mussolini. Massimo accepts the challenge of flying a seaplane to Milan and bringing a medicine that will save the life of a high-ranking Nazi. Flying is his passion and his life, but he reluctantly accomplishes this mission. Because Teglio Massimo is Jewish. When the commander of the German forces in Genoa discovers that Massimo is a Jew, he orders his arrest. Massimo manages to escape. And when the mass deportation of the Jews of Genoa gets under way, the courageous pilot cannot watch helplessly.
