Omar M'a Tuer plot

On Sunday 23 June 1991, Mrs Ghislaine Marchal was found murdered in her home in Mougins. Two days later, Omar Raddad, her gardener, is arrested and immediately imprisoned in Grasse prison. He says little, barely understands French and looks calm and serious. Letters written in blood accuse him: "Omar killed me". The evidence is indisputable and Omar is convicted of murder. Three years later, however, a writer convinced of Omar's innocence begins his own investigation.
