Makkers Staakt Uw Wild Geraas plot
Humor and tragedy strikes three families in Amsterdam who are busy preparing for a wonderful evening. That evening is not so wonderful for everyone and not every package on Christmas Eve opens with unsurpassed joy. After all, one marriage is linked to mutual incomprehension, the other struggles with their little boy of a son and in the third family the hubby prefers to look for his Sinterklaas surprises in the form of slippers outside the door. The dark time of sluggish holidays may soften hearts for a short time, but after the departure of the Good Saint, the golden glow of reconciliation is over for another year and everyone is dependent on each other again. Makkers Strike Uw Wild Geraas was awarded a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1961.
