Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) is a pizza delivery boy in a small town. His life is turned upside down when two wannabe mobsters (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson) kidnap him and force him to rob a bank. Short on time, Nick enlists the help of his former best friend Chet (Aziz Ansari). In a race against time, the two must deal with the police, hitmen, flamethrowers and their own troubled relationship.

The lazy and dim-witted Dwayne [Danny McBride] can no longer count on the financial support of his father [Fred Ward], who is also mayor. So Dwayne decides to rob a bank with his equally dorky soul mate [Nick Swardson]. For that they need some extra help, including a driver. So they call Vito's Pizza, a pizza restaurant that guarantees pizza delivery "in 30 minutes or less," and force delivery boy Nick [Jesse Eisenberg] to cooperate with their ill-conceived plan. Mealy crime comedy came out shortly after Eisenberg's breakthrough with The Social Network but has little to offer originality. Aziz Ansari is, however, very funny as Nick's best friend who, with some reluctance, is persuaded to help too, thanks to the fast pace, this nice crime comedy doesn't last a minute too long.

Unabashed crime comedy. Highly recommended as a late end to a movie night. From Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari you know what to expect: fast gibberish and bustle. That's a bit hit-or-miss. With a different kind of humor, in the person of Danny McBride and companion, and a playing time that easily stays under one and a half hours, the balance is well balanced. It is never hilarious, but entertaining all the more.
