Homeland plot
After a near-death experience, director George Sluizer decided to finally take up the project he had dreamed of for years. This resulted in Homeland, the fourth in a series of documentaries in which he has followed two Palestinian families since 1974. The film has become a personal document of the close friendship between the director and the members of the two families, who have adopted him as their own son. They have since been expelled from their homeland and scattered all over the world. He asks them the same question as on his previous visits: what is their vision for the future and do they still have hope for peace?
