Home by Christmas plot

"A film memoir of love, war and secrets"

1940. Ed Preston decides to join the New Zealand army to fight in World War II. Tui, his newly married wife, is pregnant and distraught when she hears the news. However, Ed tells her not to be afraid; he will be home again for Christmas. And he is, but four years later after escaping from a prison camp in Italy. But meanwhile, Tui is already together with another man.
