The documentary paints a picture of the person behind the concept of "Che Guevara". Che turns out not only to have been a gifted revolutionary, but also a poet and a family man. The documentary features images of his childhood and of the guerrilla wars in Cuba, Congo and Bolivia of which he was a part, and covers many of his unpublished writings.
