Harold Hickory is the youngest son of a fearsome sheriff. His brothers are much more masculine and Harold is also treated like the baby of the family. Yet he is the smartest and fills his days with ingenious ways of doing his household chores. When a circus comes up next to their farm, Harold meets the sweet owner Mary. It turns out that a large sum of money has been stolen and Harold fights the thief.
