Reminiscences of a Journey to Lithuania plot
The Mekas family fled their native Lithuania during World War II. Jonas and his younger brother were told they were going to University in Vienna, but instead ended up in a labor camp just outside Hamburg. Almost thirty years later, Jonas, his brother and his wife embark on a trip to Lithuania, the country they have not visited since the war. This journey is recorded by Jonas as a film diary.
