Mildred Pierce plot

Set in 1930s Glendale, California, the story tells the story of a middle-class housewife named Mildred Pierce, who tries to maintain her and her family's social position during the Great Depression. . She becomes frustrated with her unemployed and cheating husband and worries about their dire financial situation. Mildred therefore decides to divorce him and takes matters into her own hands to support herself and her children.
