E la Nave Va plot
July 1914, a luxurious passenger ship leaves the coast of Italy carrying the ashes of the late opera singer Tetua. On board the ship are many of her friends, opera singers, actors and other exotic people. Life on the ship is very pleasant for the first few days, but the atmosphere takes a radical turn when the captain takes in a group of Serbian castaways. Castaways fleeing the first signs of the impending First World War.
