Tonda spends his summer vacation in Pětipes, a small village on the Berenka. His classmate and rival Ruda is also there and incites the local youth against him. All the boys in the village talk about a legendary giant eel that is said to live under a sunken boat in a bay of the river. To prove herself, Tonda wants to catch the beast.
