"A STORY OF THE SUBMARINE SERVICE."
Aboard the submarine S13 in the China Sea, the chief torpedoman Burke goes about the right. His real name is Quartermaine, the infamous former commander of the British ship 'Royal Scot'. That ship, with a field marshal on board, was sunk by the Germans. Quartermaine had informed his sweetheart of the Marshal's presence, unaware that she was working for the enemy. When the S13 sinks, Burke takes charge when the commander is no longer able to do so. He must keep his mates alive until they can be rescued from the bottom of the sea.
