Kira's boyfriend (Kenya Miles) insensitively ends their relationship and unceremoniously goes to bed with Max (Wiley Wiggins). Max is a charming but unstable wreck of a human who has actually been tied to Sara for a long time. Max becomes obsessed not only with her, but also with his lack of morals in this regard. Meanwhile, Kira struggles to get a job and has several romances. She realizes that it can't go on like this if she still wants to keep her mind.
