Ein Tag - Bericht aus einem Deutschen Konzentrationslager 1939 plot
'A day - report of a German concentration camp in 1939' describes the daily routine in a German concentration camp before the war years. Together with screenwriter Gunther R. Lys, who was himself a prisoner in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, daily life in the camp is staged in a sober way, without much pathos, with special attention to the small details of the organized terror. The concentration camp is portrayed as a perverted, well-known administrative government institution well known to most other state institutions, and differing from this one only in that only the principles of "pure" National Socialism were practiced.
