Behind Green Lights plot
An abandoned car stands at night between the two green lamp bulbs in front of the police station. In this car, the murdered body of a private detective is found, who is investigating a blackmail case. Janet Bradley, the daughter of a mayoral candidate, is the prime suspect. Janet was seen in the blackmailer's apartment earlier that night. Despite the fact that there are other suspects, Janet has already been convicted by the local press. But ambitious Police Lieutenant Sam Carson, who has fallen in love with Janet, thinks of a political assassination and, against the wishes of his superiors, investigates further.
