Le Secret de Chanda plot

After the death of her newborn sister, Chandra's mother Lillian is broken and she becomes seriously ill. Her stepfather flees into alcohol and so the responsibility for her two remaining sisters lies with 12-year-old Chandra. On top of all this misery, the neighborhood reacts full of incomprehension to all incidents and bad rumors are spread. "Aunt" Tafa steps in and helps Lillian leave the village, but she too is not immune to the fear that grips the community. But Chandra is slowly getting tired of all the secrecy...
