Boxhagener Platz plot
The film contains several stories of members of one family. The old lady Otti is very outspoken and now lives longer than all the men she has known. She has not lost her fighting spirit, she is now in a relationship with Michael Gwisdek, an old-fashioned communist. There is also her grandson who knows the secrets of his relatives and interferes with the Stasi. Then there is the mother who dreams of going away, the brother who hides his homosexuality and the father, a police officer who is not really appreciated by his family and colleagues.
