Landfall plot

During World War II, British pilot and officer Rick is tasked with patrolling the English part of the Channel, paying particular attention to German submarines. One day Rick sinks a submarine that he thought was a German submarine, but later turns out to be a British one. He is convicted of neglecting his duties and the horrified Rick then signs up for very dangerous military missions. Meanwhile, Rick's girlfriend and barmaid Mona learns information that may prove that Rick is innocent. Mona tries to prove that Rick is innocent and that he actually sunk a German submarine.
