The Secret Adversary plot
Childhood friends Tommy and Tuppence run into each other just after World War II. Both unemployed and destitute, they are soon hired by British intelligence. Their job is to track down a certain Jane Finn, who is said to be in possession of a document that could cast a bad light on the government. Julius Hersheimmer, an American millionaire and cousin of Miss Finn, helps them with this. On their way, they come across a Bolshevik plan that would cause chaos in Britain.
