With books about what he calls "the Holocaust industry", the abuse of anti-Semitism and "the war crimes" of the State of Israel against the Palestinians, Jewish-American professor Norman Finkelstein has been critiquing Israel's policies for years. It all started when the country invaded Lebanon in 1982, he says in the documentary. From then on, he felt politically, scientifically and personally involved in everything Israel did. 'American Radical: The Trials of Norman Finkelstein' follows the scientist as he delivers lectures around the world that often lead to heated discussions. But Finkelstein refuses to pay lip service to the idea of peace and equality. He fights it with a ferocity bordering on hysteria, as he puts it.
