The Impossible Spy plot
A young Israeli man, Eli Cohen, is recruited by the Mossad in the early 1960s and sent to Syria. He tells his wife that he has a new job that requires extensive business travel, and he takes up residence in the Syrian capital Damascus. Once there, he befriends several high-ranking Syrians and thus provides valuable information to Israel. While visiting his wife at home, she begs him to stop working so that he can spend more time at home. His clients also tell him that he has achieved enough, but he decides to return to Syria one more time...
